What sort of work? We have an exciting opportunity for an HR Assistant on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract to join our HR team, based in our Exeter office. The purpose of this role is to provide support to the Firm in relation to our overall people strategy and assist the HR team in delivering an excellent service to our people. Other duties will include: Providing full and comprehensive administrative support to the team which will include recruitment onboarding, working with colleagues to progress offer documentation and onboarding activities Assisting the team with organising assessment centres and interviews Supporting the administration of our early careers and trainee programmes Supporting the smooth and effective running of our assessment days, work experience, training and development programmes Supporting HR Business Partners and Advisors with employee relation matters Updating our HR system Assisting with payroll changes and processing starter and leaver paperwork Communicating with colleagues on a range of confidential matters Dealing with initial enquiries to our HR mailbox Preparing and analysis of management information to include data inputting and data reporting Advertising and promoting our vacancies on our website and Linkedin Why this team? The ideal candidate will have: Excellent IT skills in particular MS Office Experience of working in an HR team Knowledge of HR databases and reporting tools IT literacy and the enthusiasm to learn new software packages quickly Excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to build positive relationships with stakeholders The desire to be a great team player and be self motivated to work towards goals with enthusiasm The ability to organise and prioritise their own work load and independently resolve issues The ability to cope well under pressure and has a pro-active approach A thorough approach, with excellent attention to detail The ability to work under own initiative Excellent organisational skills, able to multi-task and juggle competing priorities The flexibility to adapt to changing demands Experience working within an HR team would be an advantage.
