We’re seeking a skilled Credit Control Manager to join our Finance team on a 12-month placement. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a small team and improving financial efficiency across debt management, collections, and reconciliation processes. You’ll play a vital role in enhancing cash flow, reducing unallocated cash, and ensuring accurate, timely billing.
Key Responsibilities
* Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of three to achieve departmental goals.
* Debt Management: Drive improvements in debt ageing, collections, and reconciliations, especially with local authorities.
* Cash Flow Improvement: Assist in forecasting and managing receipts, aligning cash flow to monthly targets.
* Process Enhancement: Refine debt collection practices and update templates for efficiency.
* Reporting: Prepare debt analysis reports and develop strategies for future collections.
* Collections: Oversee resident debt collection and coordinate with solicitors on significant debts.
* Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate completion of billing paperwork.
* Financial Close: Work with management accounts to close down debt ledgers at month-end and year-end.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience: Strong background in credit control, cash collection, or finance management, with essential skills in reconciliation, billing, and debt management.
* Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Problem Solving: Skilled at identifying and resolving issues proactively.
* Excel Proficiency: Strong Excel skills are essential.
* Communication: Excellent internal and external communication abilities.
* Leadership: Capable of motivating and guiding a team.
* Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in the care industry is desirable but not essential.
