Bennett and Game are currently working with a consultancy with a 'one-stop' solution, specialising in Transport Planning and Highways Design. They have offices in Gateshead and Fleet, catering to a diverse range of clients in both the public and private sectors, including prominent commercial developers nationwide.
The successful Transport Planner / Senior Transport Planner will work for an employer who values their employees and sees them as their greatest asset. Main Duties:
* Prepare Transport Assessments and Transport Statements.
* Develop and coordinate Travel Plans.
* Prepare and present technical data and drawings.
* Conduct junction capacity assessments using ARCADY, PICADY, and LINSIG.
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and local/national authorities as required.
* Ensure all assigned tasks/jobs are delivered on time and within budget.
* Check the quality and accuracy of work produced by junior team members.
* Collaborate with the team and proactively support junior staff in developing their technical knowledge.
* Assist Team Leaders in providing comprehensive advice to clients on Highways & Transport matters, from preliminary advice to feasibility work.
* Conduct site appraisals/visits and design surveys, contributing to written reports and presentational material.
* Ensure that all electronic and paper files on projects are kept up-to-date.
* Assist with other related tasks as required by your Team Leader.
Requirements:
* Degree in a relevant subject: Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering.
* 4+ years of experience with UK Transport Planning standards and processes.
* Membership in the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (MCIHT).
Technical Skills:
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software packages.
* Strong numeracy skills, with a good understanding of spreadsheets.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD (desirable).
* Experience with ARCADY, PICADY, and LINSIG.
