This is a wonderful opportunity to work closely with students who have Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs), helping them access and thrive in their learning environment.
About the Role:
Position: Teaching Assistant
Focus: Supporting students with ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs.
Responsibilities:
1. Work 1:1 or in small groups with students, ensuring they feel supported and engaged.
2. Assist within the classroom, helping pupils access lessons and achieve their learning goals.
3. Build strong relationships with pupils, offering encouragement and emotional support.
4. Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to tailor strategies for individual students.
About You:
* Experience working with young people with ASD, ADHD, or SEMH needs is highly desirable.
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to meet the needs of individual students.
* A positive and proactive attitude with strong communication skills.
* Experience in a classroom or education setting is a bonus, but not essential – a passion for working with children is what matters most!
