We are looking for a Deputy Nursery Manager who has an active and hands-on approach to work with the Nursery Manager, supporting staff and the delivery of learning development care for children at the nursery.
As a Deputy Nursery Manager, you will provide professional leadership and management of the nursery, supporting the manager to effectively manage the day-to-day running of the nursery and deliver the highest standards of care and education. You will play a key role in marketing the nursery to prospective parents and participate in Open Day events.
Your responsibilities include:
1. Meeting the EYFS and Ofsted requirements and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
2. Ensuring that all children attending the nursery receive rich and stimulating experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development.
3. Keeping children safe and ensuring staff understand and, when necessary, follow safeguarding procedures.
4. Supporting the development of good practice regarding special needs and inclusion.
5. Adhering to health and safety policies and procedures and being responsible for ensuring the nursery remains compliant with suitably trained staff with relevant first aid qualifications and health and safety training.
6. Inducting, supporting, training, and appraising all staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality childcare practice.
7. Focusing on staff practice and the delivery of outstanding childcare under Ofsted's guidelines and the Statutory Framework.
The Deputy Nursery Manager will be room-based.
