Perth & Kinross Council is seeking a time served Mechanic / Technician within Fleet Management.
You must have knowledge, skills and experience in the repair & maintenance of heavy goods and light vehicles as you will be responsible for ensuring that the Councils fleet of vehicles is maintained to both DVSAs and Perth & Kinross Council standards.
Working in the motor trade as Motor Vehicle Mechanic or Technician, and preferably have experience of the repair & maintenance of commercial vehicles, heavy plant and equipment and a working knowledge of hydraulic repairs.
Holding an LGV C+E licence would be advantageous.
You will have the ability to work within a pressured environment and being able to meet own and team deadlines is vital.

Skills & Experience Required
* Time Served Vehicle Mechanic.
* Relevant mechanical qualifications required City & Guilds Parts 2 & 3.
* You must have a valid UK driving licence as this post requires you to travel to a variety of locations across Perth and Kinross, with a desired C+E entitlement but not essential or be prepared to achieve C+E level.
* Experience of identifying scheduled and unscheduled workloads.
* Experience in working within a pressured environment and meeting tight deadlines.
* Excellent team worker with experience of producing good team results as and when the job demands.
