As a Deputy General Manager (Clinical) at one of their care homes in Skipton, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of exceptional care to residents, leading a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Main duties of the job
As the Deputy General Manager (Clinical), you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the care home. This includes leading the clinical team, monitoring care standards, and developing strategies to improve the quality of life for residents. You will be expected to conduct regular audits, supervise clinical practice, and ensure the home meets all regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will have some HR responsibilities, such as supporting newly qualified nurses through their preceptorship program.

ABOUT YOU
To join us as a Care Home Deputy Manager & Clinical Lead, you'll need to be a Registered Nurse (RN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a teaching/mentoring/supervision qualification. Experience in helping residents with different health needs is important too, as is a successful track record of managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments. We'll also look for some HR experience, a strong knowledge of sales and marketing, an understanding of budget management, and a track record of supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship. Finally, you'll be compassionate, resilient and determined to deliver quality care in our engaging and energetic environment.
