This Web Developer Intern role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and enhance websites, landing pages, and digital assets that support our marketing strategy. You will manage two primary websites, with the opportunity to develop two additional sites during the fixed-term period. Working closely with the Head of Marketing, Marketing Intern, and external consultants, you will play a crucial role in optimising web performance, SEO, automation, and user experience.
We understand that this is a broad role, and you may not have experience in every area listed. If you have a passion for web development and a willingness to learn, we will mentor, support, and train you to be effective in the role. You will work closely with the Head of Marketing, the marketing team, and external consultants to achieve our objectives.
Key Responsibilities for the Role:
Website Development & Management
Manage and maintain two primary WordPress websites, ensuring security, updates, and performance.
Develop two additional websites as part of the internship, following best practices in design, SEO, and responsiveness.
Work with Elementor Pro to design and customise pages that align with brand guidelines.
Ensure websites are fully responsive, mobile-friendly, and optimised for performance.
Implement continuous improvements to enhance speed, usability, and engagement.
SEO & Website Optimisation
Implement on-page SEO using Yoast SEO to improve rankings and visibility.
Support off-page SEO efforts, including link building and technical SEO improvements.
Monitor and analyse website traffic using Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and SEMRush.
Use Pagespeed Insights to improve site performance and load times.
Assist with Click Rate Optimisation (CRO) to improve conversion rates.
Landing Pages, Forms & Automations
Build high-converting landing pages tailored for marketing campaigns and lead generation.
Design and develop forms linked to HubSpot and Mailchimp for seamless automation workflows.
Ensure data is captured effectively and integrated with CRM and email marketing tools.
Optimise call-to-actions (CTAs) and lead capture mechanisms for better user engagement.
Email & Marketing Automation
Design and develop Mailchimp templates for email marketing campaigns.
Support marketing automation by linking web forms and pages to HubSpot and Mailchimp workflows.
Ensure email templates and landing pages follow best practices for engagement and conversion.
Collaboration & Content Support
Work with the Marketing Intern to develop keyword-focused articles that improve SEO and support business objectives.
Liaise with external SEO and development consultants to implement best practices and website enhancements.
Support the marketing team in joint projects, aligning website development with marketing campaigns.
Provide technical insights and recommendations to improve digital marketing performance.
Person Specification
Knowledge of Click Rate Optimisation (CRO) strategies to enhance user engagement.
Familiarity with Pagespeed Insights and website performance improvement techniques.
Interest in AI tools and automation for improving web and marketing efficiency.
Previous experience working in a B2B marketing or infrastructure-related environment (desirable, not essential).
