Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team at the Silverstone facility. You will be responsible for inspecting incoming materials and in-process components to ensure they meet rigorous quality standards. Your keen eye for detail and dedication to quality will contribute directly to our operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and perform detailed dimensional inspections using Polyworks, PC-DMIS software, and tools like Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), Portable Arms, and Trackers to verify product specifications.
2. Support manufacturing in conducting in-process inspections to ensure components meet design and manufacturing standards.
3. Maintain thorough knowledge of the QRS system to document inspection findings and communicate results effectively.
4. Assist in maintaining quality control documentation and records.
5. Collaborate with the Quality Control Inspection Manager and other departments to address quality issues.
6. Implement quality improvement initiatives.
7. Ensure all inspection tools and equipment are properly calibrated and operational to maintain measurement accuracy.
8. Adhere to health and safety regulations during inspections.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience in a quality control role, preferably within motorsport or aerospace industries, involving composite and metallic materials.
2. Proficiency with metrology software such as Polyworks and Pcdmis, including offline programming.
3. Strong understanding of quality control principles and practices, including GD&T.
4. Experience with inspection tools and measurement equipment, including Polyworks and Pcdmis software.
5. Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify defects and prepare detailed reports, including dimensional analysis and NCRs.
6. Effective communication skills to convey findings clearly to team members.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
9. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to quality assurance.
10. Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
11. Commitment to maintaining high quality and safety standards.
