Role Overview
This is a full-time Senior HR Consultant role, initially on an agency basis for up to 12 weeks, with the potential to transition to a contract with RMBC for up to 12 months. The role involves working as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team on a significant project within Provider Services, which is part of Adult Care and Integration.
The service employs 450 staff and provides a broad range of care and support services across various disciplines, including:
* Lord Hardy Court – Dementia and IMC
* Davies Court – Dementia and IMC
* Reablement
* Rothercare and Assistive Technology
* Extra Care schemes (Bakersfield, Potteries, and Stag Willow)
* Reach Day Services (Elliot Centre and Maple Avenue)
* Supported Living (Sandygate and Acres View)
* Shared Lives
* Parkhill Lodge
* Conway Crescent
Key Responsibilities
The post holder will be the designated HR professional supporting a change programme to implement a Future Operating Model. This includes:
* Supporting the HR Business Partner to deliver high-level specialist HR advice, guidance, and operational support to managers and employees, ensuring adherence to council policies and procedures.
* Undertaking projects at corporate or service levels to deliver workforce solutions and support the delivery of Workforce Plan objectives.
* Supervising HR Consultants in delivering the full employee lifecycle and change management, providing support and guidance as needed.
* Developing effective relationships with managers, employees, and trade union representatives to address HR/workforce issues and influence actions.
* Maintaining and developing HR policies and procedures, and implementing improvements and best practices.
* Developing and managing HR-related learning and development events to enhance individual and organizational capabilities.
