The Energy Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the organization’s clients’ energy management strategies to improve energy efficiency, reduce costs, and support the company’s clients’ sustainability goals. This role involves conducting energy audits, analysing consumption data, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Energy Audits and Assessments:
Conduct comprehensive energy audits to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
Analyse energy consumption data and recommend measures to optimise energy usage.
Strategy Development:
Develop and implement short-term and long-term energy management strategies.
Collaborate with senior management to set energy performance targets and objectives.
Project Management:
Manage energy efficiency projects from conception through implementation, including budgeting, scheduling, and reporting.
Liaise with external vendors, contractors, and consultants as necessary.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Monitor energy usage data and prepare regular reports on consumption, savings, and performance against targets.
Utilize data analytics tools to track and improve energy management initiatives.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all energy management practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Stay informed on emerging trends and technologies in energy management.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with clients’ internal departments (e.g., facilities, engineering, operations) to coordinate energy efficiency initiatives.
Provide training and support to staff regarding energy conservation best practices.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related
field (Master’s degree preferred).

Proven experience in energy management, sustainability, or a related field.

Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.

Knowledge of UK energy regulations and standards is an advantage.
