Role:
Empower Housing – Assistant Management Accountant
1. As Assistant Management Accountant you will assist the Finance Manager with the accurate monitoring of data ensuring timely completion of tasks.
2. To work with colleagues to improve systems and processes to strengthen financial awareness and improve efficiency.
3. To provide an efficient and accurate finance service to all internal and external customers in line with policies and procedures.

4. Experience working within a busy finance department on all aspects of financial recording and monitoring - E
5. Knowledge and understanding of housing and service charge legislation – E
6. Knowledge and understanding of value for money – E
7. Purchase ledger and Sales ledger experience – D
8. Knowledge and understanding of the social housing sector – E
9. Good ICT skills – with good knowledge of Microsoft Office products using Excel – E
10. Previous experience of working with Xero finance software - D
11. Ability to maintain confidentiality – E
12. Good organisational skills and an ability to prioritise and manage work to deadlines whilst maintaining a high standard of work – E
13. High level of attention to detail and excellent numeracy skills - E
14. Rent and Service charge experience – D
15. Knowledge of sinking fund processes - D
