We are seeking a skilled and experienced Deputy Payroll Manager to join our payroll team at Barchester Healthcare. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to the payroll team and deputising for the Payroll Manager in their absence.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of payroll and pensions, as well as extensive payroll knowledge and experience of processing large volume payrolls. You will also have previous supervisory experience, report writing experience, and excellent IT literacy and PC skills, including Excel.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective working relationships with management, operational, and support staff, as well as assisting Home Administrators on payroll and system issues. You will also understand and implement company policies and government regulations affecting payroll procedures, process RTI Returns and the reconciliation of PAYE, P11d expenses and benefits, including company cars, and payroll software upgrades.
Additionally, you will produce reports on a daily, monthly, and ad hoc basis, and support year-end processing, as directed by the Payroll Manager.
