This position is onsite in Gateshead, UK. Northern Gas and Power (a subsidiary of Global Procurement Group) is an international energy procurement specialist and is the largest energy consultancy in Europe. We guide businesses of all sizes ranging from SMEs to global organisations in purchasing their energy contracts. We set up comprehensive strategies for organisations to procure their energy contracts; negotiate contracts with energy suppliers; introduce and operate risk management frameworks; collect, check, and analyse invoices; and calculate organisations’ GHG emissions and carbon footprints.

The Opportunity
We have some exciting growth plans for 2025. Due to our success across 2024, we are expanding various divisions across Global Procurement Group. As such, we require an additional Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our already established Internal Recruitment team.
Responsibilities
1. Support the company in finding and recruiting new employees, with a large focus being on supporting growth in our sales operation.
2. Identify, attract, shortlist, and interview suitable candidates for a range of roles within our organisation.
3. Create candidate pipelines for various vacancies through networking.
4. Utilize LinkedIn heavily to identify leading candidates, with a focus on B2B sales profiles.
5. Manage pipelines in a timely manner.
6. Identify talent pools and appropriately match talent to the right roles.
7. Manage hiring managers' expectations and develop appropriate and leading selection processes.
8. Respond to applicants and support a positive candidate experience.
9. Update systems accordingly and provide regular reports on vacancies.
10. Screen CVs and applications and update candidates on hiring processes.
11. Interview candidates during various hiring stages, including phone, 1st and 2nd interviews, and face-to-face interviews.
12. Evaluate candidates based on their interview and assignment performance.
13. Determine qualification criteria for each position.
14. Analyse turnover and retention rates to forecast hiring needs.
15. Provide interview feedback, when necessary and appropriate.
16. Ensure compliance with all company operating policies and procedures.
17. Perform any other duties that are deemed appropriate from time to time.
What We’re Looking For
1. Experience in volume recruitment exposure, ideally within B2B sales.
2. Prior experience in an internal talent acquisition function.
3. Excellent telephone manner.
4. Exceptional communication and organisational skills.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
6. Experience using various interview formats (e.g., phone, structured, group).
7. Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and CV databases.
8. Solid understanding of either resourcing as a standalone skill or full-cycle recruiting.
9. Ability to learn quickly and work independently to achieve deadlines and targets.
10. A calm, methodical, level-headed approach.
