A leading manufacturer of special purpose machinery has two new vacancies due to continued success.
We seek x2 office-based Technical Support Engineers to provide telephone and remote support assistance to their loyal customer base.
This position is based out of their Nottingham office - North of the City.
In addition to providing first-class technical support, you will also organise and schedule visits and work for their field service technicians.
You will organise machine installations, commissioning work, and training on new and used machines.
While you will naturally be comfortable dealing with people over the phone, you will assist with supporting field technicians and customers with any software issues or electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
Having strong organisational skills, you will be a confident communicator, possess a good knowledge of mechanical and electrical competencies, be autonomous and methodical in your approach to fault finding remotely, and above all, be customer-focused and enjoy providing great customer service.
You will have a good understanding of computers and software, and ideally, you will have an understanding of PLCs, although this is not entirely essential and by no means a deal breaker if you are a technical fast learner.
Any knowledge or experience of CNC machines is also an advantage for the role.
