Position: Senior Site Manager
Location: Thatcham
Salary/Rate: £290 per day | Temp-to-Perm
We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Senior Site Manager for a Temp-to-Perm opportunity based in Thatcham. This exciting role involves overseeing the conversion of an existing B&B into two flats and a commercial unit, as well as the demolition of an existing pub and the construction of a two-storey, L-shaped building with 21 assisted living units/flats. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage a dynamic project with a focus on both residential and commercial developments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the No.1 Site Manager, leading on-site operations with minimal involvement from Project Management and Contracts Directors.
* Oversee the conversion of the B&B, and manage the demolition and construction of the assisted living building.
* Supervise demolition and groundworks activities to ensure smooth execution of the project phases.
* Coordinate daily site activities, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and high-quality standards.
* Report directly to the Project Manager, collaborating closely with the Quantity Surveyor to ensure the project's success.
Essential Experience:
* Proven experience as a No.1 Snr Site Manager, with the ability to manage a project independently.
* Strong background in demolition and groundworks.
* Previous experience in conversion and new build projects, ideally in residential or assisted living.
* Excellent leadership and organisational skills, with a hands-on approach to site management.
