I am looking for personal care for a Woman
The candidate should be a woman* Drivers licence required: Yes
Hours per week: Tuesdays 5-6pm, Wednesdays 8-11am, Wednesday 5-6pm, alternate Saturdays 5-6pm .
Hourly pay rate: £12.50 per hour
I am a lady with MS looking for a Female PA to support me within the home. I am chatty and friendly with a great sense of humour. I like making greetings cards and making my garden look lovely. It would be great if you could assist me in my garden so sharing that interest would be an advantage. I am a wheelchair user but very independent. I will do as much as I am able so a PA that is easy-going and a good listener is important. The successful applicant will be comfortable to provide personal care. Some manual handling support including using a hoist will also be required but full training will be given. The evening shifts will include cooking me a light meal. I really look forward to hearing from you and feel this could be rewarding and fun role for both of us.
Duties include:
Medication prompting/administering
Personal grooming
Eating and drinking assistance
Moving and handling
Other relevant duties as required
Administration
Housekeeping
Shopping
Cooking
Companionship
Gardening
Dressing / undressing
Bathroom assistance
Moving and handling using a stand aid – training will be provided
Prompting if I need to order my medication
Candidate qualities:
Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality

Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
Hygienic, tidy and well organised
Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills

Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
Happy to work in a smoking environment
Driver preferred as shopping will be needed
