Purpose of the Role:
As an SEO Executive, you’ll be at the heart of driving our online presence and ensuring our website reaches its full potential in search engine rankings. You’ll take ownership of crafting and executing SEO strategies that boost organic traffic, improve visibility, and increase conversions. Your role will involve working closely with various teams to ensure our content is optimised, technical SEO is on point, and our backlink strategy helps build the authority we need to stand out. Through data analysis, problem-solving, and a passion for staying ahead of SEO trends, you’ll make a tangible impact on our growth and success, helping the business achieve its goals and connect with the right audience across our brands.
Main Duties/Responsibilities and Knowledge/Skills Requirements:
Key Duties:
1. SEO Strategy and Execution:
* Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies, aligning with overall business objectives.
* Conduct thorough keyword research to identify high-performing opportunities and optimise content accordingly.
* Monitor, analyse, and improve search engine rankings and organic traffic.
1. On-Page Optimisation:
* Optimise website content, meta descriptions, title tags, and header tags to align with target keywords and best practices.
* Ensure website pages follow technical SEO guidelines, including proper URL structures, image optimisation, and internal linking.
* Work with content creators to develop SEO-friendly blogs, landing pages, and other digital content.
2. Off-Page Optimisation:
* Develop and implement link-building strategies to improve domain authority and organic visibility.
* Monitor and manage backlinks to ensure high-quality links and identify any toxic links for removal.
* Work with Digital marketing manager to align SEO objectives to PPC campaigns.
3. Technical SEO:
* Conduct regular website audits to identify and resolve technical issues affecting SEO performance (e.g., crawl errors, page speed, mobile friendliness).
* Collaborate with internal & external developers to implement technical improvements and site architecture enhancements.
* Monitor and resolve issues related to site indexing, canonicalization, and XML sitemaps.
4. Performance Analysis and Reporting:
* Use tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMrush to track, measure, and report on SEO performance.
* Provide insights and actionable recommendations based on data analysis to improve organic performance.
* Prepare regular reports on KPIs, including traffic, rankings, and conversions for stakeholders.
Knowledge, Experience and Understanding Required:
* Good understanding of data management, analysis and reporting such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Looker Studio.
* Good understanding of SEO tools such as SEMrush and Screaming Frog.
* Ability to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders within the business areas and the wider business.
* Previous experience in SEO and broad knowledge of other digital marketing channels (e.g. PPC, Paid Social, ECRM, Display).
* Ability to work independently and use insight to guide decision making.
* Strong planning and organisational skills.
* Ability to analyse competitor strategies to gain ranking insights and to help prioritise appropriately.
* Ability to analyse and provide SEO and CRO recommendations.
* Solid experience of using Excel/Google Sheets skills (e.g. vlookup, pivot tables, etc.) including data visualisation.
* Good communication skills and ability to work with a variety of different teams.
