Senior Commercial Bid Manager
At Gregory Distribution Ltd, due to continued growth, we have a vacancy for a Senior Commercial Bid Manager, to be based at our Cullompton Depot.
This position will involve leading the Business Solutions team to find the best in class solutions for the business.
The position involves:
1. Winning new business opportunities through bids and proposals, aligning with strategic objectives and business development plans.
2. Developing and writing clear, concise, and persuasive bid proposals that are compliant with the tender requirements and guidelines, including formatting, content structure, and submission deadlines.
3. Proactively developing win themes, answer strategy, and engaging customer-focused content with relevant stakeholders.
4. Reviewing, editing, and proofreading proposals to ensure they are error-free and of the highest quality.
5. Maintaining and updating a library of bid responses, ensuring all information is current, relevant, and maintains the house style.
6. Developing and sharing best practices, improving content, messaging, and processes.
7. Leading commercial and operational discussions and contributing strategic and operational insight to proposals.
8. Identifying cross-selling opportunities, working with other areas of the group for them to come to fruition in line with the group's strategic goals.
9. Collaborating with various internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop compelling and competitive bids.
10. Conducting research and supporting the business development team to source the best in class solutions for the company.
11. Generating monthly reports, analyzing tender activity, and suggesting improvements.
12. Collaborating with the Business Development team and the wider business, offering advice and assistance as needed.
13. Managing the budget and monitoring spending to achieve planned objectives.
14. Experience in bid management within the warehousing/transport and logistics industry is essential.
15. Membership in the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) is advantageous.
16. Experience developing and implementing winning bid strategies.
17. Experience leading multiple, concurrent bids.
18. Experience managing a diverse range of stakeholders across multiple bids.
19. Experience championing, developing, and presenting best-in-class bids & tenders processes.

23. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
24. Able to liaise at all levels in the organization.
25. Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure.

1. Remuneration package worth £70,000 - £80,000, DOE. This package includes excellent company benefits and company car allowance.
