Purpose of Role Maintain exceptional customer journey by providing outstanding service, top quality surveys and great communication to customers. Complete site surveys and verify customer contractual requirements for new or replacement doors and gates with a solution that conform to legislative requirements for the application. Offer on site checking to confirm compliance with the original proposal. Key Accountabilities Conduct expert surveys at clients’ locations for new and/or replacement door solution. Ensure accurate measurements for the solution, taking consideration on any interface equipment and the total ‘zone’ of the planned installation to avoid. Support the installation engineers and planning team by reviewing conceptually how the job would be executed, making consideration for safety and recording accordingly with the aim to improve performance and reduce errors within the business. Monitor installations are being carried out correctly and safely, report progress to relevant parties, assist or adjust installs ad hoc. Make recommendations to clients on best solutions over and above like for like replacements. Record all information electronically. Keep up to date with changes in regulations. Use measuring equipment as supplied, either analogue or digital. Dimensions of Role Complete surveys/inspections within a specified area as instructed by the account teams, document and conclude requirements back to the business in line with our right first time thinking. Attend new and existing customer sites and liaise with clients from CEO to site-based engineers. Make arrangements with the customer where applicable to carry out survey. Inspect and advise and offer solutions to current or upcoming problems with products on site. Prepare orders on various portals to ensure RFT information on handover. On site checking and inspections during and post job completion, review and collate inspection reports, electronically where relevant, and communicate findings to the business and/or client where applicable. Attend face to face meetings and periodic site visits. Technical decision maker Any other reasonable duties as required by your line manager or other senior manager Desirable Qualifications Autocad DHF doors and gate safe CSCS Card (Preferred not essential): SSSTS or SMSTS PASMA BSEN 16005 Wide product knowledge including the ability to interpret manufacturers drawings and specification sheets / data sheets NVQ level 3 in Surveying or equivalent experience of surveying in the door, gate or window industry Experience Necessary Previous experience conducting surveys on commercial/industrial doors on construction products Knowledge of door installation Full UK driving licence Highly computer literate Excellent attention to detail and error checking skills Able to manage own time accordingly. Excellent communication skills, oral and written. Problem solver, able to think outside the box with a growth mindset
