What will you be doing as our new Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor?
As our new Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor, you’ll improve SHEA awareness and behaviours and strengthen team collaboration and development, across all areas of the business. Acting as an ambassador for our LIFE principles, you’ll provide a direct and visible link between our LIFE strategy and delivery outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
1. Support operational teams in development of their safety behaviours consistent with the Safety element of our LIFE strategy.
2. Complete site inspections and assurance visits ensuring Alliance and legal requirements are upheld.
3. Deliver a wide range of training and awareness programmes (i.e. LIFE orientation, Passport to work and site briefings) to increase employee confidence and capabilities.
4. Develop and support an appropriate measure of the impact of the programme being delivered and how this is contributing to the growth of the Alliance.
5. Actively participate in Pan-Alliance forums to share best practice to encourage and implement innovative behavioural safety initiatives.
A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours…..
To be considered for this key position, you’ll hold a NEBOSH Construction Certificate and a Technical grade (or above) membership of IOSH. With your CSCS Safety Professional card intact, you’ll possess strong problem-solving skills and be able to gain the trust and respect of colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
Passionate about safety, you’ll create environments where people and teams can prosper and will always be open to providing support where required. You will need a full clean UK driving licence in order to carry out site visits.
