Main Duties of the Job

Job Responsibilities
About the Team
Operating hours 07:30 to 18:00 (flexible working can be considered) Saturday/evening working on a rota basis. Our team is small and consists of a Service Manager, Operational Manager, Operational Team Lead, private patient/overseas and billing coordinators. The team currently consists of 10 coordinators working across all services. There will be an opportunity to work with teams and other hospital services to develop existing and new private patient and overseas services. Our overseas service has been nationally recognised for best practice by NHS improvements service structure, process & procedures.
What You'll Do
* Identify, process, and bill overseas patients.
* Identify, process, and bill private patients.
* Report all private patient/overseas data to the trust for billing purposes.
* Support the Operational Manager and Operational Team Leader to deliver income targets to the Trust.
* Support in the provision of training and education across the Trust for private patients and overseas services.
* Ensure all guidelines, policies, and procedures are adhered to.
* Resolve complex issues relating to private patient and overseas services, including minor disputes and complaints.
* There will be a requirement for this post to work in our other hospitals within the Trust.
Person Specification
Qualifications / Training Required
* Finance, IT or business administration qualification to level 4 (AAT Technician) or able to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge, skills, and experience.
Previous or Relevant Experience Necessary
* Intermediate Excel knowledge and experience including using pivot tables and MS Access databases.
* Experience of producing performance management information or financial reports.
* Experience in data manipulation, statistical, interpretive, and analytical skills with complex datasets.
* Experience of working in a finance environment.
* Experience in raising invoices using finance systems.
* Working to tight deadlines.
* Excellent record keeping and data management.
* Experience of working in the NHS.
* Advanced Excel skills.
* Use of clinical patient systems.
* Knowledge of medical insurance.
* Knowledge of private patient and overseas processes at UHS.
