As a Production Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in upholding our business values while ensuring that our dishes are produced safely, to the highest quality, and in a cost-effective manner. You will be responsible for fostering a safe, supportive, and fully engaged team environment, where every team member feels valued and empowered. Additionally, you will focus on developing Team Leaders to reach their full potential and ensuring that your team consistently meets production targets while striving to improve performance across all key measures. Service Level: Align resources with forecasted sales volumes, maintaining service levels above 99%. Performance: Meet targeted operational performance measures, with improvement plans in place to consistently elevate standards. Shift Pattern: 4pm - 12am Main Responsibilities People To ensure that the team have the necessary skills balance to meet business needs To continuously develop the knowledge and capability of the team leaders To improve team engagement through the delivery of great communication, positive interaction and GPTW improvement plans To ensure that all people policies are followed fairly, consistently and in a timely manner Ensure that team briefs and other communications are delivered consistently and effectively, in a timely manner Ensure to meet on regular basis with direct reports to review performance against KPIs and to ensure appropriate support and opportunities are available to enable them to perform their roles effectively. Safety & Environment Role model appropriate behaviours and challenge inappropriate behaviour through education and training. Regularly carry out HSE walks with team members to improve awareness and ensure standards are maintained Run a shift safety forum and develop improvement plans based around team members concerns and accident / near miss trend data Ensure weekly, monthly audits are completed and corrective actions are in place Focus team activity around the elimination of food waste, ensuring appropriate monitoring / segregation of waste stream. Ensure that risk assessments / SOPs are up to date, trained out and consistently adhered to by the team. Quality Ensure that quality, keycard, GMP and food safety standards are maintained at the appropriate standard at all time. Ensure that all non conformances are investigated and key learnings rolled out promptly Ensure regular attendance and active involvement in quality meetings and taste panels. Drive down customer complaints through effective improvement plans and team focus Delivery and operational performance Maintain customer service levels above 99% through effective control of labour To ensure budgeted performance targets are delivered and KPI’s are hit on a consistent basis. To drive continuous improvement through the TL structure, regularly monitoring & maintaining performance improvement plans. Manage team rotas, TMS system, absence and holidays in line with company policy and in a timely manner. Run effective SIC meetings with the team, ensuring that the root causes associated with any issues are identified and appropriate measures applied to prevent reoccurrence. Assign RCA actions to SIC attendees where required, utilising 5Y / A3 templates Ensure that material yields and are measured effectively and Marco, BI and WMH data is used as part of teams improvement plans Shift reports and other paperwork completed at the end of each shift or as required and in a timely manner All downtime recorded appropriately, analysed and with support of engineering and CI team plans created to improve operational performance All team leaders to be trained and signed off against the CI skills Matrix Lead monthly waste walks with teams to identify wastes & opportunities within process. Skills and Knowledge An excellent understanding of Health and Food Safety Previous experience of working in food production Ability to work precisely with good analytical skills Engage and communicate effectively at all levels Knowledge of LEAN and LEAN tools within the Production Kitchen Excellent level of IT skills Able to involve and develop a multi-skilled Logistics team through coaching, leadership and role model behaviour General Work within the company’s rules and policies, introducing procedures where appropriate in conjunction with technical documentation requirements. Adhere to the health and safety policy of the company and work within its guidelines to ensure personal safety of staff at all times.
