The Home for Little Wanderer's private Cove School is seeking a School Shift Campus Coordinator, Mondays through Fridays at the Plymouth, MA location to provide direction, problem-solving, and support to group supervisors, shift supervisors, direct care staff, nurses, and other staff working school-based shifts on campus. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and other essential functions.
How You'll Be Making a Difference
* Work closely with the Principal and Director of Milieu Services to ensure that life skills and leisure activities align with the agency’s treatment philosophy and protocols.
* Ensure that all necessary reports, reviews, and other forms of documentation are completed in a timely manner.
* Respond to crises on campus and provide support to staff and clients to manage situations safely.
* Communicate all pertinent information to the administrator on call.
* Develop a daily crisis schedule and ensure staff are aware of the crisis procedure for each shift by checking in with shift supervisors.
* Work with staff to ensure that standards of therapeutic academic environment and safety management are followed.
* Collaborate with Principal, Program Director, Clinical staff, and others regarding major critical events.
* Provide ongoing support throughout a shift in programs, coaching and training staff as needed.
* Supervise staff and maintain staffing levels for all shifts to ensure youth safety, serving as a consultant for staff around behavioral interventions.
* Monitor residences for safety and staff compliance with treatment procedures.
* Meet with youth individually and in groups to assess and plan behaviors as needed.
* Participate in all in-service trainings and mandatory meetings, and assist in planning and leading ongoing training programs for staff.
* Conduct regular observations on staff during each shift and provide constructive feedback.
* Implement ongoing safety monitors.
* Evaluate behavior interventions and staff effectiveness, helping to design and implement solutions collaboratively.
* Adhere to licensing standards, and maintain policy, professional growth, and quality of service within each assigned group.
* Assist in periodic evaluations of program policies and procedures.
* May be required to have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and personal vehicle available for use during work hours.
Qualifications
* 3 years of program experience, including supervision.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
* Ability to train and lead staff.
* Computer literate, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new software applications.
