Purpose of the role As Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing and organising Electrical maintenance for all operational activities and equipment on site. You will ensure that all planned and preventative maintenance is carried out in accordance with the SAP plans, you will be responsible for ensuring that daily inspections are carried out including identification, reporting and rectification of faults to reduce breakdowns and improve plant reliability. Key Accountability Working to Heidelberg materials sustainability Policy. Effective communications with Hanson personnel, sub contractors and suppliers. You may also be required to assist mechanical and production departments as and when required. Health and Safety of self and others. You will be required to provide out of hours breakdown cover on a callout rota arranged with management team Safe and effective use of resources. Recording of all Accidents, Near hits and incidents and uploading the information to Intelex. Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with the schedules and procedures. Ensure that all maintenance carried out is accurately recorded for reference purposes. Ensure that workshops, equipment and facilities are adequate and maintained. Ensure that risk assessments and method statements for planned work are in place. Ensure safe and efficient control and operation of any machinery trained and competent to use. Development and improvement of existing plant and equipment. Responsible for the co-ordination of planned shutdowns ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out. Production, control and supervision of ALL maintenance work carried out on site. To ensure that isolations and isolation procedures are accurately carried out Supervision of sub contractors as required Working for other Hanson sites as required. Conduct staff appraisals to identify skills gaps and training requirements To ensure that work areas are in a clean and safe condition at all times To ensure that the works is fully compliant with UKCP20 Electricity at work procedure Any other duties which the position demands AUTHORITY Shutting down the process when there is a risk to people, the environment and the plant Altering plant parameters to ensure that quality standards and plant performance are met or to protect the equipment. Maintenance personnel organisation and planning COMMUNICATION RESPONSIBILITIES Internal communication with all works personnel External communication with customers, suppliers and emergency services. (Apprentice trained, ONC, IEE 17th Edition) Operational Knowledge of the production plants. Certified mobile plant driving licences (Forklift, MEWP) Preventative maintenance techniques and practices. Thorough Understanding of Hanson Sustainability Policy. Systematic approach to problem solving and solution finding. Full understanding of electrical isolation and permitting procedures.
