Supervising Social Worker (Part Time - 3 days / week) Pro Rata Pay of up to £36,000 £3600 Car Allowance Out of Hours Renumeration Mileage additional to salary Family Care is a family owned Independent Fostering Agency and are looking to recruit on a part time base ( 3 days / week) an experienced Fostering Supervising Social Worker, covering the Midlands. Caring for someone else's child in your own home takes a special kind of person. But no matter what their skills and experience, all our Foster Carers rely on support and guidance from our Supervising Social Workers, Support Workers and Managers. The post-holder will be primarily responsible for assessing and supporting foster care services in their designated region. Small caseloads, local to your home and the office ensures you are able to give quality time to support Foster Carers deliver therapeutically informed care. The development of the service involves recruitment, training and approval of foster carers. Using the Secure Base Model, you will work closely with Therapeutic services to enable young people to recover from previous trauma and go on to lead fulfilling lives. We will support you with your personal and professional development, offering a wide range of training and learning opportunities for you to develop your skills as an effective Social Care Practitioner. The post will be based at the Dunston office although some working from home will be permitted with prior approval from the Registered Manager / Practice Manager Flexible working hours are essential. We require a commitment to some weekend work and unsocial hours to support foster carers, foster carer training, and children and young people. The post-holder will join a rota of social workers who provide the first response on an 'out of hours' basis (supported by a manager on call) and will involve being on duty overnight and at weekends. You: Must hold a full UK Driving Licence Social Worker Qualified Hold Registration with Social Care England An enhanced DBS certificate will be required upon appointment.
