The Role:
1. You will manage the Groups, Conference and Events Sales office to actively convert customer enquiries into confirmed sales.
2. Maximise the department's revenue opportunities.
3. Review business plans, identify gaps and ensure proactive efforts to fill capacity and meet set targets.
4. Contribute to the selling strategy of the hotel, and manage the department's adherence to achieving that strategy.
5. Understand the competitive marketplace and implement approaches to ensure the hotel stays ahead in the local market.
6. Conduct weekly spot checks on bookings.
7. Generate a culture of high standards for relationship building, customer service, selling techniques, and billing and processing contracts.
8. Manage and develop the team to ensure career progression and effective succession planning within the hotel and company.
9. Organise hotel promotional activities.
