SEMH Teaching Assistant - Yate (BS37) - ASAP start

A lovely school in Yate is looking for a SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team. They are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual who has experience with SEN, ASD, and ADHD.
Details:
1. ASAP Start
2. £85.33 - £120 per day, depending on experience
3. Full-Time - Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
4. Term time only
5. BS37 location, easily accessible by public transport
This SEMH Teaching Assistant role in Yate will involve working with a Year 6 pupil 1:1 who has ASD and ADHD. Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Supporting children's behaviour for learning in the classroom.
2. Helping children understand the teacher's instructions.
3. Working with individual learners in the classroom 1:1, or with individuals or small groups in the Learning Support department.
4. Keeping track and recording pupil progress.

What we need from you:
1. Maths and English GCSE grade A*-C / 9-4 or equivalent.
2. Experience working with children - for example, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, childcare, assisting in a nursery, or similar experience within a classroom.
3. Confident to converse with parents, students, and members of the public.
4. Resilient and confident to work with challenging behaviour.
