Job Title: Technical Manager - Tekla
Location: North London
Salary Range: £55,000 - £65,000

With recent project successes, they are now seeking a highly qualified Tekla Technical Manager with a background in structural steel and metalwork.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage client interactions to ensure client satisfaction.
Analyze project requirements and ensure they align with detailing teams.
Supervise subcontract detailing and engineering teams to deliver compliant drawings and calculations.
Manage design discussions, calls, and meetings with clients, detailers, and engineers.
Update and maintain design programs and registers.
Review Fabrication Packs to ensure all latest drawings and specifications are included.
Track budget allowances during the design process and highlight potential issues.
Work closely with Project Managers and Commercial Managers to align project requirements with budgets.
Lead the Tekla Structures technical team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship.
Manage and oversee the implementation and development of Tekla software within the organization.
Maintain and improve BIM workflows, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in detailing and modeling.
Develop and enforce best practices, standards, and templates for Tekla usage.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Tekla Structures users.
Stay updated on Tekla software advancements and industry trends, recommending and implementing improvements.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
Requirements:
Strong technical knowledge of architectural metalwork and structural steel, particularly balconies, balustrades, and fabricated structures.
Proven experience managing both internal and external draughtsmen.
Proficiency in Tekla Structures and BIM workflows.
Excellent understanding of structural engineering principles and steel fabrication processes.
Experience leading designs in the Balconies/Architectural Metalwork industries is preferred.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing technical teams.
Effective communication and collaboration skills within teams.
Ability to solve complex technical issues and optimize processes.
