The department
The Employment team is one of the leading employment law practices in the UK and consistently top ranked by independent legal directories, we have more recognised experts in employment than any other UK firm. With over 180 lawyers, Lewis Silkin’s employment and immigration team offers an unrivalled service supporting clients, including many of the world’s leading businesses, on their HR, employment and immigration law needs domestically and internationally. Sitting within this division is Worksphere, a client facing practice that provides HR and Reward Consultancy and Employment Law Training.
Our HR and Reward Consultancy and Pay Reporting practices have experienced significant growth, working with numerous large national and international employers across the UK and Ireland. We provide comprehensive support for all aspects of pay gap reporting and assist multinational employers with projects related to the EU Pay Transparency Directive. Our HR Consultancy practice is supporting clients with comprehensive services in the people and culture arena, include providing culture reviews, which incorporate diagnostic activities where result analysis is crucial.
About the role
This new position will play a pivotal role in developing key client offerings in pay equity analysis and HR and Reward Consultancy services, supporting our continued growth and establishing our firm as a differentiated leader in the field.
Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with the software development team to translate an Excel-based model into a detailed dashboard within Power BI.
2. Work with clients to receive compensation data and standardise it into a consistent format.
3. Partner with Reward Consultants to analyse pay gap results and draft reports highlighting key areas for action.
4. Provide support for client needs related to preparations for the EU Pay Transparency Directive.
5. Assist in analysing results from surveys and create visual representations of key findings
6. Offer ad hoc support on data analysis and visual presentation of findings.
7. Participate in client meetings, ranging from initial briefings and detailed needs gathering to the presentation of reports.
8. Engage in events and marketing activities as appropriate opportunities arise.
About you
You will have a professional manner, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and have previous experience working within an office. You’ll have a flexible nature and will enjoy working within a fast-paced team, and will be highly organised. You’ll also possess strong numeracy and attention to detail skills, which will be key within this role. We are looking for someone who is passionate about being a team player, who is keen to support others.
Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
9. A degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
10. Proven experience in data analysis, preferably within HR, compensation, or a related field.
11. Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions and data manipulation.
12. Experience of statistical modelling and regression analysis
13. Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
14. Experience in working with large datasets and standardising data formats.
15. Experience in drafting reports and presenting findings
16. Knowledge of the EU Pay Transparency Directive and pay gap reporting requirements is advantageous
17. Able to deliver a high level of accuracy in work
18. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
19. A proactive and self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic
20. Able to work independently as well as part of a team
21. Able to adapt to changing client needs and project requirements
