Morgan Hunt's Public Sector and Government client based in Berkshire is looking to recruit a Housing Options Officer to provide support throughout a busy period.
This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35.
Responsibilities:
As a Housing Options Officer, you'll be responsible for:
* Providing housing advice and conducting homelessness assessments.
* Managing temporary accommodation placements.
* Writing Section 184 decision letters and making legally compliant decisions under Parts 6 and 7 of the Housing Act 1996.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:
* Conduct detailed assessments of housing needs and applications, ensuring compliance with the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
* Produce clear and accurate decision letters based on comprehensive investigations and adherence to legal requirements Section 184 Decision Letters.
* Arrange and oversee temporary housing placements, ensuring suitability and meeting statutory obligations.
* Work closely with the housing allocations team to prioritize and assign suitable long-term housing solutions.
* Provide tailored housing advice and guidance to individuals and families at risk of homelessness, empowering them to make informed decisions.
* Collaborate with internal departments, landlords, and external agencies to deliver effective housing solutions.
