Job summary Bridport Integrated Community Rehabilitation team are looking for an Occupational Therapist to work within the Multidisciplinary team on Colmers ward in Bridport Hospital and in the Community setting. Applications from candidates that require current Skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible to apply for this position Main duties of the job The post holder would be required to provide OT based rehab for a range of physical presentations such as stroke and neurology, orthopaedics, frailty, falls, cognitive impairment and many more. Skills required to fulfil this role include knowledge and experience in moving and handling, experience of using a range of equipment, experience of carrying out cognitive assessments, skills to holistically assess and formulate a patient centred rehab program, knowledge and experience of working with the older person, particularly with frailty. The post holder may be required to work with the rest of the team to provide cover across 7 days on a rota basis as the needs of the service require. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate skills in communication, organisation, caseload management, autonomous working, supervision of junior colleagues, problem solving and innovative thing to inform service development.
