About the role
The Educational Data & Innovation Technologies Trainer (EDITT) is a professional who manages the training of educational systems within Townsville Catholic Education. The EDITT is responsible for providing expert advice and training around and supporting the TCE Education Systems Suite to achieve TCE’s strategic outcomes.
Working with stakeholders, the EDITT is responsible for training, delivering, and providing support for educational systems, including documentation and implementing new processes and systems, modules, and technology to be included in the TCE education systems suite. The EDITT will provide input to the development of ITS practices and procedures. Additionally, the EDITT will support the collection, procurement, and availability of clean data to support informed decision-making throughout TCE
The EDITT works within the Educational Technologies, Innovation and Data Team to configure, plan, monitor, and manage Education Systems across TCE. The EDITT works as a high-level professional to provide training and support of new products, utilising experience and skills to solve complex technical issues with an education systems specialisation. The EDITT will also be involved in implementing new projects as identified by TCE. The EDITT will be required to have an in-depth knowledge ofTCE's education technology systems, ICT Integration in schools, school business operations, and other associated IT and Education skills independently and as part of a team.
The EDITT will have a high level of input into new and evolving classroom technology innovations. In the role, EDITT will be expected to mentor and train junior employees and ensure documentation is available for skill sharing and training.
Key Accountabilities
1. The EDITT reports directly to the Educational Data & Innovation Technologies Manager and will work as part of a team that works across both the ITS and Learning and Teaching Teams.
2. As an experienced professional with an ICT focus, provide guidance to schools and the organisation to ensure high standards of support, training, and resources in TCE educational systems (such as Compass, Edval, Reach, Google, M365, EC by Gal and TCE Datahub) to assist all TCE employees.
3. Provide expert advice, leadership, and training to TCE employees to foster innovation in education.
4. Evaluate and implement educational innovations by assessing new and emerging technologies as classroom solutions for schools and facilitating the delivery of new projects.
5. Engage with external providers of products and services to determine new developments in software that enhance the TCE educational systems.
6. Train and develop TCE staff through training sessions, online modules and support documentation to build staff capability and capacity in the use of TCE educational systems products and services.
7. Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with TCE educational systems.
8. Create, manage, evaluate and support the delivery of online training materials for the TCE educational systems.
9. Provide localised and remote support of TCE educational systems products and services, including proactive problem resolution.
10. Perform system monitoring and analysis, troubleshoot issues, and escalate to external vendors when necessary.
11. Monitor and maintain system performance and engagement data to meet the demands of TCE students and employees.
12. Develop, maintain and execute internal operational procedures to ensure tasks are performed reliably and consistently, reducing the risk of unplanned outages of TCE educational systems.
13. Deliver proactive and reactive support to meet organisational and project objectives.
14. Ensure the accurate collection and availability of data to support TCE staff in making informed decisions and enhancing operational efficiency.

18. Other duties as reasonably directed by the Educational Technologies, Innovation and Data Manager.
Mandatory Criteria
19. Current Working with Children Suitability Card - The successful candidate will require a paid Blue Card before commencement as per the No Card, No Start policy developed by Queensland Government or Current Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers
20. Tertiary qualifications as a teacher or ICT-related field or equivalent experience.
21. Current Driver’s Licence
22. Ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville
23. Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner.
Desirable Criteria
24. Relevant industry experience in the education sector.
25. Competent use of educational systems such as Compass, EC by Gol, Articulate360, Google for Education workspace and M365.
