We are looking for a Graduate in Fashion and Design or a similar course. JOB TITLE: Trainee Junior Product Developer in Footwear
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Fixed Term
REPORTS TO: Category Manager - Footwear
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Sample/Ordering/Distributing/Evaluating
2. GAP analysis on Internal Range (NPD Research)
3. Organising testing/certification, liaising with test houses and with internal certification and compliance team
4. Conduct competitor research
5. Building technical documents and specifications
6. Inputting data on the PLM system as may be required
7. Concept sketches and ideations
8. Assisting Product Management team in the realisation of quotes and tenders
9. Producing designs and graphics using Illustrator and Photoshop (CAD)
10. Material analysis from product dissection
11. Price updates and invoicing
12. Co-ordinating customer meetings
Exercise attention to detail to maintain consistent high-quality product standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Recently graduated from a Fashion or product design course
* Proficiency in Illustrator design software; Excel; Word
* Interest in Product Development/Design
* Knowledge of pattern cutting, construction, and sewing
* Ability to take direction well and work to tight timelines
* Ability to work under pressure, to multi-task & produce required results without direct supervision
* Flexibility
* Willingness to learn from other team members
