THE SCHOOL WILL ONLY ACCEPT FULLY COMPLETED APPLICATION FORMS, CVs WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED The Governors of this popular, welcoming and successful school are seeking to appoint an Admin Assistant to start as soon as possible.We are currently seeking Admin Assistant who is a proactive, highly organised and committed individual, capable of organising administrative activities within a busy school office. The ideal candidate will be at their best when juggling the demands of a school office but still find time to welcome all that need their help.
The post-holder will be the welcoming face to our visitors to our school. The post-holder will carry out administrative tasks as required; this will include administration around attendance, ie meeting with Governors, the Education Welfare Officer, providing reports and producing Penalty Notices This is a varied and busy role where the post-holder will have to think on their feet and use their initiative in a fast moving and demanding environment.
The hours are 8.30 am to 4.00 pm, (32.5 working hours per week, with one-hour unpaid lunch break). The position is for 40 weeks of the year (term time plus 5 training days plus 32.5 additional hours to be worked outside of term time). The position is permanent. Salary range is minimum NJC scale 1-3 (£23,851 - £25,183 pro rata), negotiable dependent on experience.
The successful candidate will:
• Be hardworking, reliable and trustworthy.
• Have good Literacy and Numeracy skills (minimum Grade C English and Maths GCSE or equivalent); with effective written and oral communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Be able to demonstrate highly competent ICT skills across a range of office software. Experience of SIMS and ParentPay would be an advantage, although not essential.
• Have proven administration and customer service skills.
• Have experience of working in a busy office environment and demonstrate understanding of the importance of good customer service.
• Have the ability of prioritise tasks and be highly organised, being able to promptly and efficiently complete routine admin tasks.
• Have a good sense of humour and be able to remain positive and calm under pressure;
• Be committed to the safeguarding and welfare of children;
• Represent and promote the ethos of the school.
