Job summary North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust has an exciting opportunity for a Specialty Doctor to work within Theatres, Anaesthetics and the Critical Care Clinical Business Unit, with the majority of the work at Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon. The post was previously created to provide a middle grade tier for the Theatres at Hinchingbrooke Hospital. The post holders will have full registration with the General Medical Council and will have completed at least 2 years of training and service in hospitals recognised by the Royal College of Anaesthetists for training purposes, in the StR, CT or FTSTA grade. Applicants who have had all of their training overseas should demonstrate that they have completed at least three years in the specialty of Anaesthesia in posts which have offered a breadth and depth of experience comparable to that obtainable in the United Kingdom during a similar training period. Main duties of the job Principal elements of the post will be: 1. Providing elective for a mixture of surgical specialty sessions such as orthopaedics, ENT, upper GI, colorectal or gynaecology. 2. Providing emergency cover for emergency work including all surgical specialities excluding trauma, obstetrics, crash calls and the Emergency Department.
