The purpose of this role is to support the commercial team in our Glasgow office by delivering and surpassing forecasted performance while mitigating risk. This will be achieved by providing timely and accurate information to the Commercial and Engineering departments.
Duties and responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
* Provide contract support including scoping packages, issuing tender enquiries and collating documentation and tender analysis.
* Assist the commercial team and project engineers with budgeting of projects.
* Selection, procurement and management of supply chain packages.
* Collation of accurate records to enable robust change management and mitigate disputes.
* Utilise the company’s finance system to control and report costs and income on individual projects.
* Support the Monthly Project review process and work closely with the Project Managers and Engineers to produce accurate timely progress reports and forecasting.
* Assist the commercial team and project engineers with legal and contractual issues on projects.
* Contribute to the overall management of commercial aspects of all contracts, including ensuring costs and revenue are allocated correctly.
* Strive to optimise the profitability of the Contracts and optimum cashflow position.
* Contribute to the future success of Powersystems and clients.
* Proactively look at ways to enhance the service offered by the business, and improve the efficiency of company processes.
* Maintain a professional image at all times.

Here’s what you need to be successful in the role:
* You will need Quantity Surveying experience (minimum 1 Year).
* Ability to provide ideas and create innovative solutions.
* Self-motivated and ability to work as part of a team.
* Demonstrable good oral and written communication skills.
* Proficiency in industry-standard software and Microsoft Office tools including MS Excel and Word.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Right to work within the UK.
Desirable Criteria
* Previous experience in a Construction organisation.
* Knowledge and experience of Sage accounting software system or equivalent.
* Degree qualified (or equivalent) or working towards within a part-time course.
