Overview
Situated within the grounds of Torkington Primary School, our small private nursery is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Facilitator to join our team.
This role is essential in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children in their formative years.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in early childhood education and demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate and manage young learners. You will play a key role in supporting children's development, ensuring their safety, and promoting a love for learning.
Duties
1. Create and implement engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children.
2. Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and learning.
3. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships.
4. Manage behaviour with positive reinforcement techniques.
5. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents/carers on their development.
6. Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall learning experience.
7. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery setting.
8. Drive initiatives that promote leadership skills among children through group activities.
Experience
1. A qualification in Early Childhood Education (level 3) or equivalent is essential.
2. Previous experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is highly desirable.
3. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
4. Experience in managing groups of children effectively and compassionately.
5. Demonstrated ability to lead activities that promote social interaction and teamwork among children.
6. A genuine passion for working with young children and contributing positively to their early development.

Physical Requirements
There is a requirement, subject to appropriate guidance or training, to lift and carry children, and to spend time outdoors throughout the year and in all weathers.
