The QA Desktop Team Officer is responsible for providing day-to-day support to the Assurance Desktop team and Lead Auditor. This includes ensuring that audit and remediation activities are in line with current industry standards and follow a consistent approach.
Working with key internal and external stakeholders and responding to technical queries from Retrofit Installers/Coordinators/Scheme Providers. Ensuring DT Team KPI’s are achieved.
Key responsibilities
* Managing, supporting and developing the Desktop Assurance team within TrustMark.
* Working with the Lead Desktop Auditor to ensure remediation activities are escalated in a timely manner.
* Comprehensive understanding of technical standards across the industry and advanced training, where appropriate.
* Develop a strong working relationship with the Lead DT Auditor to ensure changes in process and technical standards are rolled out when required.
* Liaising with Scheme Providers and external stakeholders on technical issues/non-compliances.
* Liaising with Retrofit Coordinators/Retrofit Installers for technical queries.
* Team auditing and providing constructive feedback on a monthly basis.
* Continuous process improvement within the Assurance Department.
Key skills and experience
* Proven people management skills with a track record of supporting and developing individuals effectively.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate team members.
* Experience and awareness of building construction, standards, and legislation.
* Ability to work on own initiative to identify improvements when required.
* Work closely with Lead Desktop Auditor to identify daily priorities and workloads.
* Demonstrate a commitment to quality in all areas of your work.
* Possess strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.
* Be empathetic and understanding of situations but with the ability to remain independent focusing on the matter in hand.
* Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and associated applications.
* You must be willing to undertake the necessary Retrofit Training to be successful in this role.
