Applications are invited from suitably experienced and qualified Clinical Technologists and Engineers for the post of Medical Equipment Manager in the Department of Medical Physics and Bio-Engineering at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness.
The appointee, supported by the section's Clinical Engineers, Technologists and Administrative staff, will be involved in the management of NHS Highland’s medical equipment service contracts, medical equipment database, medical equipment procurement projects, and continued development of the board’s medical device governance framework. This includes the key role of day-to-day management of the boards medical device policies and procedures.
The post requires an honours degree in an appropriate discipline and significant experience in medical equipment management, with knowledge across the field, suitable to the wide advisory and planning influence of this role. Alternatively, candidates with extensive, relevant experience of managing medical equipment at a senior level will also be considered.
Communications, management and influencing skills will be needed alongside technical and financial skills; evidence service development, financial planning and project management is also highly desirable.
The appointees normal working base will be Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. There could be an opportunity for an element of hybrid working after successful completion of an induction period.
Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.
