The needs of the students vary in all of our SEN schools, however the main needs include autism, ADHD, profound and multiple learning difficulties, social, emotional and mental health difficulties and challenging behaviour. As a Special Needs Teacher, you will work closely with our team of Teaching Assistants to plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the individual needs of each student. You will have access to plenty of TA support in class and class sizes are maximum 8/9 pupils per class. The ideal SEN teacher would have: QTS Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Effectively work alongside the SENCO, teaching assistants to assess, monitor and evaluate the progress pupils make, ensuring learning is tailored to their needs.
