Our Water Resources Planning team is helping to steer Affinity Water through its largest and most interesting challenges, identifying, defining and promoting the demand management and new infrastructure schemes that are needed to let the business adapt to the challenges of environmental need, climate change and growth.
As a Water Resources Planner you will be asked to act as a key member of the Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP) team contributing to the production and delivery of our statutory WRMP and our major water resource development schemes. You will also be asked to actively participate and contribute to Affinity Water’s involvement in regional water resources planning.
What you'll be doing:
* Project management of WRMP work packages
* Production of WRMP technical appendices
* Liaison with regulators and key stakeholders including water companies
* Representation on Water Resources in South East (WRSE) and Water Resources East (WRE) regional groups
What you need:
* Experience of Water Resources Management Planning is desirable but not essential
* An effective and articulate communicator both in written and oral form
* Ability to summarise technical information and effectively support briefing of senior leaders to support decision making
* Understanding of Strategic Environmental Assessment and its application
* Ability to influence and manage relationships (and manage stakeholder engagement)
