Who we need
As part of the Business Partnering team, you will provide advice, guidance and support to managers on a range of people matters. This is an ideal opportunity if you are a people-oriented HR professional, with a passion for engagement, wellbeing and culture.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide advice, coaching and support to managers with HR casework (sickness absence, performance improvement, grievance and discipline) and restructuring activity across the College.
* Support leaders in implementing change programmes, including consultation with trade unions and staff, and liaising with legal advisers as required.
* Support the investigation process, interviewing witnesses and producing investigation reports, ensuring all cases are managed within a 4-week window.
* Act as a trusted advisor to develop and build leadership and colleague capability across the College.
* Undertake project work as required by the Head of People Services, ensuring robust project plans are in place and projects are delivered within agreed timescales.
What you’ll bring:
* Generalist HR experience, including employee relations, casework, recruitment and project work.
* Effective communication skills.
* Ability to influence and motivate.
* Ability to work at pace, managing and prioritising your workload.
* Ability to operate independently using own initiative, while knowing when to utilise the wider Business Partnering team for effective support.
* Ability to develop professional working relationships with college leaders and managers.
* Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to analyse and produce accurate data and information.
