A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our team working in the Cardiac Catheter labs providing care and support for patients with acute cardiac disorders based within the Cardiology Department.
The post holder will be expected to support and contribute to the clinical and managerial leadership of the cath labs nursing and its multi-professional team under the guidance of the clinical nurse manager. This includes acting up as a clinical leader, acting as a role model and being an expert practitioner within acute cardiology and the cath labs. The post holder will also be expected to liaise, guide and advise the multidisciplinary team and external agencies in the provision of optimum patient care. The applicant will require at least 2 years previous cath lab skills in interventional procedures, cardiac devices and electrophysiology procedures in the cardiac cath lab.

For more detail about the main duties of this role, please see the job description section below. As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients stay healthy, when they need it most.
Job responsibilities
The post holder will be expected to play a proactive role in quality and service improvement and working closely with the Clinical Nurse Manager and multi-disciplinary team, assist in the auditing of clinical standards of care within their clinical area. This includes ensuring a good working environment in which all patients receive a high standard of clinical care.
The role requires specific emphasis on staff training and competency sign off. The post holder will be responsible for the training and education of new cardiac catheter lab staff and existing staff departmental training.
Working Pattern: Day shifts, including weekend working and 24 hour on-call
