For more information about the company visit https://www.barrettsteel.com/ All About the Role This role is based full time at our Bolton site, we currently have an opportunity available for an experienced Class 2 Driver. The purpose of this role is to carry out driving & related duties involved with the carriage of goods within a defined geographical area. This is a multi-drop role, often 10-15 drops per day covering the Northwest and East Coast Area. Standard working hours 8.30am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday plus overtime based on business needs and flexibility on start and finish times is required. Class 2 Driver Responsibilities: To oversee the safe loading at our sites and unloading of vehicles at customer premises. Daily multi drop deliveries of around 10-15 on average To check the load security & weight distribution according to latest safe working practices at the beginning and end of each shift. To ensure that the delivery vehicles are always maintained to Company standards in terms of reporting of any defects to the vehicle. Ensures vehicles are in safe condition, with daily checks correctly completed before use & are operated in a safe manner. Ensuring Proofs of Delivery are signed & returned without delay. Adhering to all Health & Safety regulations at all times.
