About the Specialist Early Education Service (SEES)
SEES is a highly valued service that works with children with a range of complex additional and special educational needs, delivering a range of evidence-based interventions.
SEES is a county-wide service made up of four area teams. In each team, there is a Team Lead, a Senior Specialist Support Worker, and Specialist Support Workers. The service sits within the Educational Psychology Service and benefits from dedicated psychological advice and support.
We work collaboratively with families in their homes and with settings staff to foster a clear understanding of the child's individual needs and to build skills and confidence in their ability to support the child's development.
About the Role
We are now looking for two passionate leaders with excellent interpersonal skills to help lead and shape this service, working with other Team Leads and wider partners across Early Years.
This is a varied role, and on a day-to-day basis, you will be involved in:
* Leading, managing, and supporting the team to provide a high-quality specialist education and intervention service for children with severe and complex needs in the early years.
* Coordinating the delivery of a range of specialist education programmes within a geographical area of the county and ensuring the progress of each child is monitored and evaluated.
* Assisting in the provision of training, and leading and supporting service development and planning as appropriate.
* Taking a lead in the monitoring of the Specialist and Senior Specialist Support Worker in the team, you will contribute to the performance conversation cycle and supervision process.
Your work will have a profound social impact, as you will directly contribute to the development and well-being of children with significant needs, helping them achieve their full potential. By supporting families and empowering them with the skills and confidence to aid their children's growth, you will foster stronger, more resilient communities, ensuring no one is left behind.
You will be joining a supportive service with regular access to your own supervision and support from an Educational Psychologist who acts as a consultant for the team.
