Due to ongoing success and growth, they are looking for a Senior Maintenance Engineer to join the business.

As the Senior Maintenance Engineer, you will play a critical role in leading the manufacturing processes and driving efficiency across all operations. You will bring your insight, technical expertise, and management skills to develop and optimize the manufacturing systems, ensuring the business remains at the forefront of productivity, safety, and quality standards.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Over 8 years proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
2. Experience of managing a maintenance team
3. Experience of managing projects, budgets, and time
4. Proven experience in risk management
5. Proven experience of designing and maintaining a PPM schedule
6. Experience in coaching/training operators on basic machine maintenance
7. Driving license
8. Experience in management of H&S systems
9. Relevant engineering qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ensure all machinery is running efficiently and any breakdowns are repaired quickly, continually monitoring and minimizing the impact on production at all times
2. Regular inspections of the building and machinery to detect and resolve problems early
3. Train machine operatives on safe operation and maintenance of machinery
4. Engineering project management as required (e.g., researching new machinery/equipment, processes, etc.)
5. Supervise all repairs carried out by external contractors or machine operators
6. Ensure operators are completing daily maintenance checks on their machines, with accurate record keeping
7. Respond to emergency maintenance calls
8. Work closely with the factory manager to review and implement factory improvements
9. Maintain adequate supplies of machine spares/tooling, etc.
10. Management of safety training for operators (FLT, stackers, machines, etc.)
11. Ensuring the factory operates to current H&S legislation and makes appropriate changes and/or suggestions to ensure compliance
12. Ensure all regulatory maintenance is carried out when required (LOLER testing, pressure testing, etc.)
13. Supervision and management of the security contracts for the building
14. Working with procurement when new machinery is purchased to ensure appropriate safety measures are considered, and training arranged for operators and maintenance staff
15. Responsible for accurate and up-to-date record keeping for all planned and completed maintenance, including budget monitoring and control
16. Clear and accurate communication to factory management and Directors relating to budgets, schedules, and any unplanned expenses incurred
