Process Project Manager
Opportunity:
NIRAS is currently recruiting for an experienced Process Project Manager who in collaboration with our major projects and engineering services group, will support our client, a prestigious multinational healthcare solutions and pharmaceutical products manufacturer at their leading sterile healthcare solutions manufacturing facility in Liverpool.
Based on site, the Process Project Manager will report directly into our clients Site Engineering Manager and be responsible for delivering a major strategic capacity expansion project with the close support of our client’s high performing engineering team, supporting disciplines, stakeholders and vendors.
The Project Manager will oversee strategize, organize, and implement this project. A solid foundation in Engineering, Project Management & and Project Execution is essential for this position.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop full project plan, including timelines and executable deliverables.
Build, develop and manage the full project team, including site internal stakeholders and external stakeholder with the business.
Build clear plans for primary contractors and all contractors on the project.
Clearly and closely manage the Capital budget, including cash out commitments. Also manage any related Opex budget
Monitor, document and communicate key project deadlines.
Solve any issues that arise during the project, using clear RCA tools and techniques.
Design, develop and create full documentation pack for the overall project, and the different sub elements.
Develop project plans, including scope, timeline, and budget, ensuring alignment with Engineering Manager.
With the Engineering Manager, safely coordinate and lead project teams in the delivery of a strategic capacity expansion project.
Ensure proper safety protocols are in place to protect employees and the environment.
Support the selection of vendors and completing vendor evaluation matrix.
Ensuring equipment vendors and engineering personnel delivery projects in line with timelines and specifications agreed in the purchase order/contract.
Managing scope and scope changes.
Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and delays.
Maintain detailed project documentation, - progress reports, change orders, and technical specifications.
Coordination of processing equipment installation and services hook up.
Coordination of all equipment documentation requirements.
Commissioning of equipment and engineering support during qualification.
Handover training, coordination of O&M manuals, Spare parts, & PM schedules.
Education / Experience Requirements:
Preferred candidate will:-
Hold an Engineering Degree or HNC/HND standard qualification in any of the following disciplines;- Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Process/ Chemical Engineering.
5-10 years’ practical field experience gained from working in Project or RCM Engineering, ideally Large Scale Capital Projects within the Food & Beverage, Life Science, Dairy industries or highly regulated process manufacturing related project related environments.
Hold Professional Project Management Qualifications- preferably (Sherpa/Prince II equivalent)
Be able to demonstrable knowledge and awareness of engineering standards per industries noted above
A demonstrable knowledge and experience of working with Process Mechanical and Electrical Engineering disciplines and vendors.
Hold strong Process Industry Project Management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
Be proficient in current Project Management Software and Tools.
Have a full understanding and awareness of cGMP
Be experienced and aware of regulations of pertinent regulatory and inspecting organisations such as FDA / MHRA.
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Have In depth knowledge of Process Production Equipment and advanced regulated manufacturing processes.
Have highly developed problem-solving and analytical skills.
Have the ability to work in a highly regulated and quality-focused environment.
