Assistant Finance Manager, Fareham
Salary: £55k - £65k
I'm delighted to be supporting a high-growth professional services based business in Whiteley with the recruitment of a qualified Assistant Manager / Team Leader to join their rapidly expanding UK team as Assistant Finance Manager.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Support the Senior Manager in order to deliver a first-class professional service to clients, both internal and external.
2. Manage the timely and accurate production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial and management reports and annual VAT returns.
3. Manage the timely and accurate production of monthly CIS returns.
4. Ensure financial statements prepared are in line with UK GAAP/IFRS or other appropriate standards.
5. Manage stakeholder's expectations.
6. Plan and organise own client portfolio and team time planning.
7. Oversight of appraisals for all team members and conduct appraisals for members of the team.
8. Supervise team in relation to client activities and procedures.
About You:
1. Fully qualified (ACA / ACCA) Accountant with experience of coaching and leading a team.
2. A minimum of 4 years' practical accounting work experience.
3. Direct experience of producing financial statements for a variety of entities is essential.
4. Experience of exceptional client service and a good understanding of current accounting legislation, regulation, and working practices to include IFRS and UK GAAP.
5. Experience in a financial services environment or professional practice is required; knowledge of UK VAT is very desirable.
6. A strong commitment to client service excellence and a proactive and disciplined approach to work is essential.
