Role: Speech & Language Therapist Banding: Band 6 Location: Sunderland Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: £35,617 - £43,027 per annum The AHP team at Pulse is seeking an experienced Speech & Language Therapist to our team in Sunderland. Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist: You will screen, evaluate, and diagnose speech, language, and swallowing disorders in children and young people. You will develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments. You will conduct therapy sessions to address communication and swallowing difficulties. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support the child’s development. You will provide training and guidance to educational and residential staff on therapeutic strategies and interventions. You will regularly assess and document the progress of each child, adjusting treatment plans as necessary. You will engage with families to educate and support them in managing their child’s needs. You will participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive care for each child. What we are looking for in a Speech and Language Therapist: Recognised Speech and Language Therapy qualification. HCPC registration.
